SUSO Skate Co is a pop-up roller rink that brings nostalgic fun to underused retail spaces, setting up shop in the empty storefronts left behind by big box stores. What started as a project to redesign their website evolved into a comprehensive reimagining of the brand’s entire visual identity.
Initially tasked with creating a new website, we moved the site to a more suitable platform, improved the way content was organized, and gave the site a major visual overhaul. Central to the redesign was the introduction of a custom illustration system that captured SUSO’s summery, retro brand personality.
As the brand continued to grow, so did our collaboration. The illustration style became a cornerstone of SUSO’s identity, showing up not just online, but everywhere — from van wraps and merch to environmental signage and neon installations. I’ve since designed a t-shirt, a vehicle wrap, an array of wayfinding and promotional signage, and helped expand the illustration suite into a flexible, cohesive system that scales across platforms and spaces.
